Spaying or neutering is also much less costly than raising and caring for a litter of kittens or puppies.
The procedure removes your pet’s testicles. This means he won’t be able to reproduce.
When you make an appointment to see your vet, he’ll go over all your concerns and answer all your questions.
The vet needs to see your pet and examine it to give you a correct diagnosis. An on-the-phone diagnosis is too dangerous. If we treat your pet for a condition or disease it doesn’t have, there could be deadly consequences. So, make an appointment. We’ll schedule one at a time that works for you.
The vet can prescribe a refill of normal medicine if the animal is already taking it. If you think new medication might be needed, the vet needs to see your pet in person.
Georgia law requires all dogs and cats to be vaccinated against rabies. Your pet needs to be at least 12 weeks old to get this vaccine.
If your pet is in good health, you can feed it whatever pet food you’d like. You can use wet or dry food or a combination. It really depends on what your pet prefers.
If your pet has a specific medical issue, your vet will give you some ideas of the food that’s best.
You should be able to feel the ribs on your pet. But they also need a bit of a layer of fat. So, you should be able to feel them, but they shouldn’t stick out. If you think your pet has gained too much weight, talk to your vet.
To keep your pet healthy, it’s a good idea to brush its teeth a couple of times a week. If you think your pet’s teeth need to be cleaned then see your vet.
